Hi everyone! Happy FRIDAY!!! This week has flown by, of course, because I've been off from work lol. Anyways, I wanted to share this outfit with you today because a lot of you asked for more casual outfits and I consider this outfit to be pretty casual. ALSO this top is currently on sale and there's a funny story to go along with it, so keep reading!

*When I posted a pic of this outfit on Instagram a couple of you mentioned that it looked like I was wearing a big red bow in my hair!! I didn't even realize that lol!!
So a few days before Christmas I had no idea what I was going to wear, of course. I went to Madewell in hopes of finding something cute to wear on sale. And thankfully, I did! I saw this white top and I thought it would be perfect to wear on Christmas. Turns out, I loved it so much that I'm going to order it in black! I'm wearing it in a size Small and I loved the way it fit! I opted on a more casual outfit because our Christmas Day is typically pretty laid back. I'll explain in more detail what we do on Christmas below. Anyways, you guys have seen these jeans time and time again on my blog, and that's just because they truly are amazing. I think the ones that I've linked for you are a teeeeeeny bit more gray than the ones that I have. Regardless of that, they're awesome jeans and worth every penny. I just ordered this pair yesterday because I'm falling in love with this brand!
And these booties - another thing you've seen constantly on my blog. But again, it's because I really do LOVE them and wear them ALL THE TIME. I wish they weren't sold out in the black pair in my size because I'd totally order them and wear those all the time too! These booties are true to size - I'm typically a size 8 and I'm wearing these in a size 8. I especially love these booties because the heel isn't too dramatic if you know what I mean. Sometimes I'm not trying to go all out and I just want a more laid back, casual look, and I can achieve that with these booties! They're a must-have for sure and they'll be on my list of best purchases of 2017.
OK now for what we do on Christmas Day and the funny story that goes along with this shirt. We spend Christmas morning together as a family, my parents, my sister, her husband, my brother & his girlfriend. We all sit around our family room with a fire lit and the yule log on TV - which none of us actually pay attention to but according to my mom "it's a tradition" lol. Anyways - we will open our stockings first, we try to do it one by one, but sometimes we get so excited to see what's next that we end up just going for it! Our stockings were filled with some gift cards (Athleta & Starbucks for me, of course!) this year and that's always appreciated. After we open our stockings, we then start opening gifts. Again, we try to do this one by one so we can see what each person got. It was a great Christmas morning this year and I'm so lucky to get to spend it with my family each year!
After we opened our gifts we all spent some time looking over what we got and all of that. We just hung around the kitchen and the family room while my dad made breakfast - funny thing is, Christmas Day is also his birthday and he's always the one to cook! While this was going on I spent some time FaceTiming my boyfriend (who is currently in Colorado) and that was one of the highlights of my day!
After breakfast we all started getting ready for everyone to come over to my parents' house. My mom is 1 of 10 siblings so we have a ton of family over for each holiday. It's always SO much fun and I wouldn't have it any other way. Now for the funny story: once everyone was there, we were all standing around and chatting, with wine in hand, of course! Next thing you know, I hear a glass fall and feel something wet on my back. Turns out, my brother in law spilled his entire glass of RED WINE and it got all over my white shirt. It also got all over his vineyard vines sweatshirt and his khakis lol. Long story short, this shirt is amazing because the red wine came completely out (with Wine Out!!!) and it's as good as new. Unfortunately for Rob, his sweatshirt was unable to be saved. It was pretty funny and I'll insert some pictures below - some of you may have already seen what happened if you follow me on Snapchat!
Like I said on my Snapchat, this is what brothers are for!! Lol.
