Long-Lasting Makeup Routine
My Long-Lasting Makeup Routine
Hi everyone! In today's post I'm going to share my long-lasting makeup routine with you!
Let me start this out by saying I am in no way a makeup artist or anything like that. I just have a routine that I use and I figured I'd share it with you guys. I know I enjoy seeing other people's makeup routines, so I wanted to write a post about mine! Here's a photo of what my makeup usually looks like when I use this routine. Lets get into the products!
Face Makeup
The first thing I want to say is make sure you have a clean and moisturized face! You can see what I use on my face in my post here.Benefit's PorefessionalNext, I use a primer. I used to never think I needed to use primer, but once I started using it, I never wanted to stop. My current favorite one is Benefit's Porefessional. This one is just easy to use and blurs all lines on my face. I just apply it with my hands!Makeup Forever Face & Body FoundationAfter using primer, I go right in with my foundation. My current favorite is the Makeup Forever Face & Body Foundation I use a damp beauty blender which helps the makeup go on SO easy and blend nicely. I love this foundation because its really lightweight and you can still see some of my natural skin. I get some freckles from the sun and they show through the foundation which I like. I have it in shade #3! YSL Touche Eclat Concealer // Laura Mercier Secret Brightening PowderNext I go in with the YSL Touche Eclat Concealer under my eyes. This stuff is great for brightening underneath your eyes. I have some dark circles in the inner corners of my eyes, so this stuff is perfect for concealing that. I blend this in with my damp beauty blender as well. I like to set my concealer with my Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder. I have been using this stuff forever, it works like magic!it Cosmetics BronzerAfter I finish with foundation and concealer, I like to use this it Cosmetics Bronzer. It's a matte bronzer which I love. I usually apply this all over my face to add a bit of color to my skin!Nars Casino BronzerI'm no expert on contouring, so I kind of stay away from it. But on some days when I feel like I need it, I use Nars Casino Bronzer. I got this palette from the NSale, but unfortunately it is no longer available. However, you can get Nars Casino Bronzer from other places! I also use this palette for blush. These are also limited edition. Another one of my favorite blushes is Tarte's Captivating Blush.theBalm Cosmetics Mary-Lou ManizerThis summer I have been slightly obsessed with highlighters. My go-to highlighter of the moment is definitely theBalm Cosmetics' Mary-Lou Manizer. This stuff is beautiful and adds such a nice highlight! The next highlighter I want to try is Champagne Pop by Becca x Jaclyn Hill. Have any of you tried it yet??The last face product I use is Urban Decay's Chill Makeup Setting Spray (not pictured). I feel like this step is crucial for me, especially in the summer. This spray will set your makeup in place all day! It's hydrating and cooling at the same time. I love this stuff.
Eyes
I tend to keep my eye look pretty simple on most days. I really only use mascara and sometimes I'll use a bit of my Mary-Lou Manizer highlighter on my lids. One thing that I usually do is layer my mascaras.Sephora's Eyelash Curler // Urban Decay's Perversion // Benefit's Roller LashI start out by curling my eyelashes--this step is really important for me. I use Sephora's Eyelash Curler and it does the trick for me! The first mascara that I start out with is Urban Decay's Perversion . This mascara is great for layering because it has a pretty wet formula. I usually apply two or three layers of this mascara. After that, I like to go in with Benefit's Roller Lash. I like to use this mascara second because it'll get rid of any clumps! I love the combination of these two mascaras.Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow PowderLastly, let's talk about brows!! My eyebrows get lighter in the sun, which tends to look kinda funny on my face. I like to fill them in with Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder . For me, I feel like this brow powder is the most natural looking. It's so easy to apply and it takes no time at all! I love it. I use it in the color "Dark Brown."
I hope you enjoyed seeing what I use for my long-lasting makeup routine!
