NSale Series: Prepping for the Sale

NSale Series:  Prepping for the Sale

Hi everyone! Today's post is all about my NSale Series: Prepping for the Sale! Enjoy!

NSale Series: Prepping for the SaleLet me start out by explaining what the NSale actually is. In my opinion, the NSale is the best sale of the year. Nordstrom releases their brand new Fall items at a discounted price. This is the time to buy all of those Tory Burch, Michael Kors, and Rebecca Minkoff items that you've always wanted. This sale is so great because the items are released at a discounted price to begin with, and then they go back up to full price after we have the opportunity to shop them at the sale price. The NSale starts in July - early access begins July 14 and regular access begins July 22. You can obtain early access by applying for a Nordstrom credit or debit card. I recently applied for a debit card so that I can shop the sale early. You can apply for a Nordstrom credit or debit card here.OK now let's get into my advice for preparing for the sale (reminder: I am no expert, this is just what I have done to get ready for this sale!):First things first: Clean out your closet. This step was HUGE for me. My mom is always telling me I have so many clothes that I don't even know I have! And let me tell ya, she was RIGHT. SO I cleaned out my closet. I made a pile for clothes that I want to keep and a pile for clothes that I want to sell or donate. By doing this, I can really see what I NEED to buy during the NSale. It may take some time, but it'll be well worth it.Next thing I would do is figure out your BUDGET. You don't want to go into this sale and spend money you really don't have. I think its really important to decide on a budget before the sale starts and then look through your (newly clean) closet and determine WHAT you actually can spend your money on during the NSale. If I have money left over after determining what I need, then I will then make a list of things that I really WANT from the NSale (which is A LOT of things!).After you figure out your budget, I would make a list of things you NEED and things you WANT. Right now I already know that I need new jeans, a great pair of boots, a new bag for work, and a great sweater. Now as for the things I WANT, I haven't made that list yet, but don't worry, I'll have that list soon enough! After you figure out your list of what you want and what you need, I would think of HOLIDAYS. I'm a big fan of planning ahead and I know that I have people that I need to buy gifts for in the future. I think it's important to get these great items at a great price before these holidays and birthdays come up. Don't wait until last minute, because the prices go up in August! My suggestion is to be as prepared to shop this sale as possible because the best items will sell out VERY quickly. Last year I remember I wanted to get a Tory Burch bag, but by the time I finally got around to checking out - IT SOLD OUT! It was definitely an upset. It's safe to say I'll be much more prepared this year.Ok time to mark your calendars - here are the important dates to know for the NSale:July 14: Early access for Nordstrom debit or credit card holdersJuly 22: Regular access to sale beginsAugust 7: Prices go back to normalI hope this post was helpful for you when you are prepping for the NSale this year! I cannot wait to see what everyone buys!

There ya have it! My first post in the NSale Series about prepping for the sale! I hope you enjoyed!

Thanks for reading!XO, Lauren
