Turks & Caicos Recap

Happy Friday! Today I’m sharing my Turks & Caicos recap! For those of you who missed it, I recently traveled to Turks & Caicos for my mom’s 60th Birthday! My parents flew out on Wednesday and I met them out there on Friday. Turks and Caicos is hands down my favorite destination - there is no place quite like it! I’m going to share where we stayed, where we ate, and some of my outfits from the trip, too!

Keep in mind, Turks & Caicos can be very expensive - the resorts are PRICEY and so are the groceries and gas. It won’t be an inexpensive trip by any means.

Where We Stayed

Last time we went we stayed at a hotel that we didn’t quite love - you can read all about that trip here. While that hotel was in a great location - very central to all of the other resorts with great restaurants, it wasn’t what we were looking for this time around.

We ended up finding this great condo that was part of a resort on VRBO. It was spacious - it had 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, a living room area, a porch, a washer and dryer, and more! We knew that we wanted to make our breakfast and lunches ourselves so it was great to find a place that had a kitchen. The resort also had a pool and hot tub and it was right on the beach so that was amazing!

I do have to say that this area was about a 30 min drive from where all of the other resorts with restaurants are so keep that in mind. The beach was beautiful where we were but the beach near the the other main resorts was nicer.

We did not want to pay a ridiculous amount for a hotel room so that is why we ultimately went with this condo. I would go back and stay again!

Where We Ate:

Since we ate breakfast and lunch at the condo, we decided to treat ourselves to dinner each night! We actually enjoyed every meal. Here’s the rundown of where we went:

Friday Night: we went to a restaurant called Almond Tree and it was delicious! There was something on the menu for everyone. I ordered a pizza and it was really yummy! We loved the atmosphere of this one - it was very unique! And there was also live music which was an added bonus.

Saturday Night: we went to a restaurant called Casa Nonna. This restaurant is located at the Ritz Carlton, and it had a great atmosphere as well. They served flatbread before dinner and it was SO GOOD. We really enjoyed our meals here!

Sunday Night: Sunday night was probably our fanciest dinner throughout the whole trip. We went to a restaurant called Indigo. It was a really nice restaurant and we enjoyed our meals. We didn’t love how close the tables were seated next to each other - we felt like we were on top of the people next to us and that they could hear our conversations and vice versa. Our meal took a little long to get to us too. But other than that, it was nice!

Monday Night: Monday we went to another restaurant at the Ritz Carlton. This one was called BLT Steak. As you probably guessed by the name, this one was a steakhouse. I ordered the short ribs and they were pretty good! We also got the loaded mashed potatoes and those were REALLY good but the portions were really small.

Tuesday Night: Tuesday was probably our favorite experience! We ended up going to dinner on the earlier side because we knew the restaurant was right on the beach and we wanted to be able to sit and see the water. We went to a restaurant called The Deck, and we loved it! We had been there previously when we went to Turks and Caicos so we decided to go back! The atmosphere was great, the service was great, and the food was great as well!

Wednesday: we wanted to eat a real meal before heading to the airport so our last stop of the trip was at a place called Omar’s Beach Hut. It seems like you’re in the middle of nowhere when you’re on your way there, but trust me, it’s one of the best spots you can go in Turks & Caicos! It’s right on the water and you can even take a walk out to the beach when you’re waiting for your food! We loved what we ordered and would definitely go back!

Outfit Recap

While I normally buy brand new pieces for a vacation like this, I couldn’t do that this time around since I’m doing no spend january. That being said, I don’t have many outfits to share since most of what I brought is old and unlinkable lol. However, I will share a few outfits below!
