My Beach or Pool Essentials!

Hi everyone! In today's post I am going to talk to you all about my favorite beach/pool essentials!

If you read my post yesterday then you already saw this photo:In this photo I summarized my favorite things to bring to the beach or the pool. In today's post I am going to go into a little more detail about each item. Since it's the middle of the summer, most people are probably headed to a pool or a beach on their days off. Its important to be prepared for those days!First lets talk about the best beach bag ever: To me this bag screams "beach." It's the perfect material to bring to the beach or the pool because if it gets wet or sandy, it wont damage the bag at all! I also love the fact that I can just throw my other items in the bag--everything I need fits perfectly! This has been my go-to beach bag for the past year now! It hasn't gotten damaged at all, it's a perfect bag!Another item that I'm completely obsessed with is my favorite floppy hat:This hat has the perfect amount of floppiness (who knew that was even possible??). It's perfect for covering your face from the sun (protection from the sun is super important!!) and it actually looks cute on! It's lightweight so it won't make you any more hot at the beach or pool than you probably already are. If you're looking for a cute floppy hat for this summer, I recommend this one!Next let's talk about my favorite summer perfume EVER:This perfume literally smells like sunscreen. I don't know about you, but I've always loved the smell of sunscreen. It just reminds me of the beach (I guess that's why the perfume is called "beach," right?). I find this perfume perfect for a day at the pool or beach, if you have to go somewhere after leaving the beach or pool, then it's a perfect scent to freshen up. Chances are that you're already wearing sunscreen, so a spritz of "Beach" will make you smell even better!I know you guys have probably seen these sunglasses everywhere this summer, so I won't say too much about them.I will just mention that I think they're a great summer color. They add a pop of color to any outfit. I've been wearing them so much! If you're looking to buy a new pair of aviators, I'd go with these ones!Now for my best friend, aka my kindle: I don't go to the beach or pool without this thing. I love it and I'm obsessed with it. I'm a big reader and this kindle makes reading outside SO much easier. It's the best invention ever when it comes to reading, in my opinion. I do still love to read actual books--but when it comes to reading at the beach or the pool, I reach for my kindle.Alright you guys, we obviously CAN'T forget about sunscreen! My current favorite sunscreen is this one by SunBum:This sunscreen is amazing and I'm so glad I found it this summer. It smells SO good--better than usual sunscreens! Also, the name "Sun Bum" is so cute--that drew me in to their product right away! This sunscreen is gluten free and paraben free. It's also water resistant for up to 80 minutes! If you're like me and you sweat when you're out in the sun, then this stuff will be your best friend. You won't have to reapply every time you feel a drop of sweat on your body! I'm someone who burns relatively easily but when I used this sunscreen today, I ended up with a beautiful tan--no redness whatsoever! I'm really impressed with this sunscreen.I also want to mention that I don't go to the beach or pool without SPF protection for my lips! We cannot neglect our lips when it comes to protecting them from the sun! I usually use moisturizing Chapstick that has an SPF of 12. I like this brand because there's no scent and it's gentle on your lips. It's important to care for your lips as well as your skin!
